Half Term News

At Tang Hall SMART we've had a fantastic first half-term back. We've had many exciting things happening including Jeremy Corbyn MP acknowledging us, new members of Musication, an upcoming Gamelan and Rap fusion project, the Burnholme building being demolished, all while awesome music has been played and performed as usual!

Firstly, half term is approaching, usual clubs won't be running, only Friday Musication will be. However it isn't all bad news, we have a special rap workshop on Monday 20th February for anyone who comes to SoundSMART, Inclusive Rock School or Thursday Satellite session. The price is £10, for more information email sue@tanghallsmart.com

Furthermore, we've had an exciting half term with Leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn MP receiving one of Al's music boxes from Rachael Maskell MP following her visit and rap session.

This half term we've welcomed new members to Musication, head over to our Soundcloud to listen to some of their music! https://soundcloud.com/tanghallsmart/tracks We hope to continue working with you in the future.

We have an exciting upcoming project: Gamelan and Rap fusion. This never been done before project is for anyone between the ages of 8-12 and our Hempland Kids Club and Home Educators music groups. Watch this space for more info!

And last but by no means least, we are saying goodbye to the Burnholme Community hub buildings as demolition has commenced. Business at Tang Hall SMART is open as usual despite the destruction of the front of the building. We are excited for the future of the site and the future for SMART within this, while offering reflection on the many memories the old school buildings have been a part of.

We look forward to you joining us after half term.
