A great video, some photos and a few thoughts
Have you ever wondered what Tang Hall Smart is all about? Well if you have, the lovely film above, which features clips from the gig at York Barbican as well as presenting an all-round picture of Tang Hall Smart and its vision, was kindly created by Dave from MBP video for us. Many thanks to Dave and Ged for this!
The Barbican gig was a huge deal for Tang Hall SMART; our most public concert ever, at a high-prestige venue with a great audience, eager to see what we can do! The night symbolised our ethos in a vivid way, with people from all walks of life showcasing their skills. The stage was shared by teenagers and adult musicians from the community, the Tang Hall Chorus, young people and adults who have learning disabilities, and several acts from our Musication label, that provides a platform for those who have experienced disadvantage through e,g, homelessness, mental health problems, addiction etc. Resistance and D-Ni-L who have both released CDs on the label both did a set.
