Tea-dances, and welcome to the Flourish Choir!

It all began back at The Centre@Burnholme back in October, when we did our first ever Tea-dance! Since then, Suzy Kane and Ernest Humphrey have taken their show on the road, and have been performing at Independent Living Centres and Care Homes around York. Check out the new website with available dates on if you are interested in bookings!

But at Tang Hall SMART, we are always looking at going just that bit further, and not content with just the one Tea-dance act, we are proud to present our fabulous Tea dance band, 'Natasha Nostalgia and the Blue Rib-band', who are performing at The Centre@Burnholme on Saturday 19th January, and even better, the tickets cost just £1, thanks to the generosity of Heworth-Ward Funding. And the final bit of news, Tang Hall SMART is proud to be taking the wonderful Flourish Choir under its wing. From January 21st, Sue and Neil will be working with the choir in the assembly hall every Monday morning. More details about this to follow shortly, but in the meantime, if you fancy having a sing for an hour every week, with an established, dementia-friendly choir, then watch this space! All welcome - age is not a barrier!!!
